Episode 1:ALIENS
Jane travels to Colorado to meet Bob White, a man who has a strange object which he says fell out of the sky when he saw a space craft.
And back in the UK, Jane tracks down Alan Godfrey, an ex-policeman who says he had an alien encounter and examines cases where animals - and even a human - are believed to have been mutilated by visitors from outer space.
Episode 2:POLTERGEIST
Jane's first case takes her to New England, USA, where the Beckwith's family home is disrupted by things that go bump in the night.
She tracks down the woman who was the little girl at the centre of the famous Enfield poltergeist case, and she witnesses strange happenings when she stakes out the McKenzie poltergeist in an Edinburgh graveyard.
Parapyschologist Ciaran O'Keeffe helps out.
Episode 3:VOODOO
Jane Goldman investigates the world of voodoo - a belief system rich in superstition and magic.
Jane travels to New Orleans and meets Ava Kay Jones, a priestess who claims to cure illness, solve work problems and help in affairs of the heart.
But she also learns about the dark side - black magic - and meets people who say they've been its victims.
Jane's journey also takes her to New Jersey to witness a live animal sacrifice and a priest possessed by the spirit Ogun.
Episode 4:EXORCISM
Jane Goldman investigates exorcism and demonic possession in this episode and meets Bill Ramsey, the man known as 'The Southend Werewolf'. She also investigates the case of someone who appeared to bleed spontaneously from the eyes and travels to Connecticut to witness the exorcism of a woman believed to be possessed by an evil spirit. Once again, parapsychologist Ciaran O'Keeffe helps out.
Episode 5:THE DEAD TALK
Jane Goldman investigates whether the dead really can communicate with us directly and discovers that the latest messages are coming through technical equipment like tape recorders, TVs and computers.
In the UK, Jane meets a woman who claims to have recorded the voices of hundreds of dead people on her Dictaphone.
Jane travels to Colorado, USA to meet Mark Macy who says he's captured the images of spirits on film.
Jane then decides to conduct an experiment of her own at the haunted Theatre Royal in Drury Lane - with some dramatic consequences.

Each week, presenter Jane Goldman, best-selling author of two non-fiction books accompanying the blockbusting X-Files series, learns a different psychic skill from a leading expert in the field of the paranormal.
At the end of each investigation, Jane is put to the ultimate test in front of her friends and family. Will her lessons pay off?
Episode 1: Psychometry
This is the psychic ability to pick up information from an object simply by touching it.
Jane will be taught by one of Britain's best-known psychometrists.
Travelling across the UK, she will work with a psychic detective in an attempt to find a missing dog, as well as visiting Eyam Hall, a 17th-century homestead soaked in history as she attempts to master the skill for herself.
Episode 2: Tarot
Will Jane be able to unravel the complicated codes of the Tarot cards?
Her teachers intend to prepare her to give both personal and predictive information to those seeking answers.
Episode 3: Ghosts
Jane joins one of Britain's leading ghost research groups as she attempts to learn the rules of her first ever ghost hunt.
She consults a leading parapsychologist in an effort to see whether she can make contact with a ghost herself.
Episode 4: Astrology
The mysteries of the stars are slowly unravelled as Jane learns the arte of plotting birth charts, as well as predicting the Horoscopes for a national newspaper.
Episode 5: Dowsing
Jane investigates the art of dowsing, the ability to find people or things using a 'wishing rod' or a pendulum.
Her research leads her to seek the advice of leading dowsers as she attempts to locate things ranging from water to finding her way through a manmade maze.

Concentrating on Reiki healing, the ancient Japanese art, Jane investigates the nature of psychic healing, from animal healing to psychic surgery, to try and discover exactly why so many people think it's one of the best things that's ever happened to them.
